What is DOB?

MANUFACTURING PRINCIPLE OF DOB LAMP BOARD:

It combines an optical engine with an integrated on-board driver. DOB is an abbreviation for "driver". In traditional LED lighting systems, drivers are usually separated from LED components and manufactured on the FR4 printed circuit board (PCB). This configuration is based on the consideration that LED driver is mainly designed as switch mode power supply. SMPS drivers usually use bulky, expensive and unreliable reactance components, such as inductors and capacitors. The use of reactive components requires a dedicated FR4 board, which can provide sufficient cabling layers for component interconnection. In an integrated lighting system, the large volume of a typical SMPS driver requires enough space in the lighting system to accommodate the driver circuit. In addition, reactance components such as electrolytic capacitors are very sensitive to temperature. Remote installation can reduce these thermal stress components imposed by LEDs.

What is DOB technology?
