Basic function


From the perspective of lighting, what functions should smart (energy) street light cover?

 

1. Telemetry of electric parameters such as current and voltage of street light, remote control of street light, remote monitoring of field operation of important road sections, etc.

2. Monitor LED street light chip pad temperature or lamp shell temperature and fault diagnosis.

3. The dimming of sunlight induction or human vehicle induction, as well as the time control in energy-saving control and even RTC dimming.

4. According to the monitoring data of lamps and lanterns, the location and causes of abnormal street light can be timely mastered, and the maintenance can be carried out purposefully without going to the whole city for patrol inspection, which speeds up the maintenance speed and reduces the maintenance cost.

5. The lighting standard level of the same road becomes a variable value with the change of time and traffic flow. For example, the brightness of some newly developed roads can be lower at the initial stage of traffic, and after a period of time or by monitoring the traffic flow to reach a certain threshold value, the full brightness can be turned on.

6. In some areas where there are few people and vehicles, half brightness can be controlled at midnight, but when people and vehicles pass through, the front is fully brightness at a certain distance, and the rear is restored to the original brightness after a few seconds.

 

Smart cities cannot be just castles in the air or limited to small-scale test scenarios. The benefits brought by 5g in smart networking and urban transformation can be seen and expected. However, the transformation of smart light poles must first solve the problem of the alternation of times in infrastructure construction, and at the same time, it needs to be matched with 5g technology and mature commercial operation environment to obtain rich returns.
